(1) The end user may, at any time and with effect for the future, require the provider of publicly available number-based interpersonal telecommunications services and the provider of internet access services to provide an invoice itemised by individual connection (itemised bill) containing at least the particulars necessary to verify the partial amounts of the invoice. This does not apply insofar as technical obstacles preclude the provision of itemised bills, or where, owing to the nature of the transaction, an invoice is not generally issued. The statutory provisions on the protection of personal data remain unaffected.
(2) The Federal Network Agency may, by order, determine the details of which particulars are generally required for an itemised bill and the form in which these particulars are, at a minimum, respectively to be given. The end user may require an itemised bill limited to those particulars, for which no charge may be levied.
