What eucite is

eucite is an independent, non-official reference index of EU and German federal legislation. It is not published by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the European Union, any EU institution, the Bundesministerium der Justiz, the Bundesamt für Justiz, or any other government body. Every page links to the official source its text comes from — always treat that official source, not eucite, as authoritative.

No legal advice

Nothing on eucite is legal advice, and using it does not create any advisor-client or similar relationship. eucite is a reading and cross-referencing aid, not a substitute for consulting a qualified lawyer about your specific situation.

Accuracy

eucite's pipeline fetches legal text directly from the official sources above and reformats it for reading — the underlying text is not edited or paraphrased. That said, eucite is an automated system and mistakes (a missed amendment, a parsing error, a stale copy) are possible; eucite gives no warranty, express or implied, that any text shown is complete, current, or error-free. Always verify against the official source linked on each page before relying on anything for a real decision.

Reuse and copyright

EU legislation displayed on eucite is reused under the European Commission's policy on reuse of Commission documents (Decision 2011/833/EU), which permits free reuse of EU legal texts with acknowledgement of the source — eucite links back to the official EUR-Lex page for every act shown. German federal statutes are "amtliche Werke" (official works) and are not subject to copyright protection under § 5 of the Urheberrechtsgesetz (German Copyright Act). eucite's own code, design, and the specific presentation of this material are not themselves an official work and remain the site operator's own.

Hosting

eucite is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure.
