Privacy
eucite is a static reference site: there is no login, no user account, and no tracking or advertising script of any kind running on any page. This page explains the small amount of data that is still unavoidably involved in serving the site and running its search feature.
Hosting and server logs
eucite is served by Cloudflare. Like essentially any web host, Cloudflare's infrastructure processes standard technical request data (your IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, and the time of the request) as part of delivering every page — this happens automatically at the network level and is not something eucite collects, stores, or has separate access to beyond what Cloudflare's own logs retain. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how Cloudflare itself handles this data. The legal basis for this processing is a legitimate interest in operating and securing the site reliably (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
Cookies
eucite does not set any cookies, and does not use local storage or any other browser-side tracking mechanism. Nothing about your visit is remembered between page loads.
Fonts
The site's one web font is hosted on eucite's own domain, not loaded from a third-party font service — so no font-related request sends any visitor data anywhere outside Cloudflare's own infrastructure.
Search
When you use the search box on the homepage, the text you type is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI (to turn your query into a form that can be matched against the site's articles) and Cloudflare Vectorize (to find the closest-matching articles), both of which run as part of eucite's own Cloudflare account — no separate third party is involved. Search queries are not logged, stored, or linked to you in any way beyond what's needed to return the result for that one request.
Links to official sources
Every page links out to the official source of the legal text it shows — EUR-Lex for EU legislation, gesetze-im-internet.de for German federal statutes. Once you follow one of those links you're on a site eucite doesn't operate and has no control over; its own privacy policy applies there, not this one.
Your rights
Since eucite doesn't collect or store personal data of its own, there isn't a dataset of your information for eucite itself to give you access to, correct, or delete. If you have a question about how Cloudflare (the hosting provider) handles request data, Cloudflare's own privacy policy (linked above) covers how to exercise your rights with them directly.

Changes
If what the site collects or how it's processed ever changes — for example, if a future feature needs its own data — this page will be updated to reflect it.
