Requests for information by the Federal Intelligence Service

(1) Operators of public telecommunications networks must, on request, provide the Federal Ministry for Digital Affairs and State Modernisation, free of charge, with information on the structures of the telecommunications networks and forthcoming changes. Individual telecommunications transactions and subscriber data of end users may not be the subject of information under this provision.
(2) Requests under subsection (1) are permissible only where a corresponding request from the Federal Intelligence Service exists, and insofar as the information is necessary for performing the functions under sections 5 and 8 of the Article 10 Act or sections 19, 24, 26, 32, and 33 of the Federal Intelligence Service Act. Use of information obtained under this provision for other purposes is excluded.
