Insurance undertakings that were authorised to conduct business under Land law in one or more Länder on 1 January 1902 do not require authorisation under this Act, where they continue their business operations within the limits that they observed up to 1 January 1902, or that were set for them by the authorisation, where their authorisation to conduct business was based on a special authorisation.
