Transfer of supervision to the Federal Institute

(1) Technical supervision of a public-law competitive insurance undertaking whose activity is limited to the territory of one Land may be taken over by the Federal Institute, on the application of the competent Land authorities.
(2) For other public-law insurance undertakings that are not competitive insurance undertakings, the Federal Institute may take over supervision where the Land governments concerned apply for this.
