Publications

(1) The Federal Institute publishes annually communications on the state of the insurance undertakings subject to its supervision, and on its observations in the field of insurance.
(2) It likewise publishes
1. the texts of the legal and administrative provisions in the field of insurance supervision;
2. its legal and administrative principles, in particular the criteria and methods of the supervisory review process under section 294(5) and of the forecast calculations under section 44;
3. the manner in which the options provided for in Directive 2009/138/EC are exercised; and
4. the objectives of supervision, and its principal functions and activities. The particulars must be sufficient to enable a comparison of the supervisory approaches adopted by the supervisory authorities in the various member or contracting states.
(3) The publications under subsections (1) and (2) must be retrievable at a single electronic address.
