Lien held by maritime lienors

(1) To secure their claims, maritime lienors have a statutory lien on the ship. Said lien may be asserted against any party in possession of the ship.

(2) The ship is liable also for the statutory interest accruing to the claims, as well as for the costs of bringing an action to obtain satisfaction of the creditors from the ship.
