(1) Prior to delivery of the goods to the carrier, the shipper is to provide to the carrier the information on the goods that is required for carriage of same. Specifically, the shipper is to furnish information in text form regarding the quantity, number, or weight of the goods, as well as the leading marks and the nature of the goods.
(2) Where a third party named by the shipper delivers the goods to the carrier for carriage, the carrier may demand that such third party provide it with the information set out in sentence 2 of subsection (1).
