For a contract by which the existence of an obligation is acknowledged (acknowledgement of debt) to be valid, it is required that the declaration of acknowledgement be made in writing. Making declaration of acknowledgement in electronic form is excluded. If another form is prescribed to create the obligation the existence of which is being acknowledged, then the acknowledgement contract requires this form.
