Reimbursement in money, interest

(1) Benefits in kind and services are to be reimbursed in money.
(2) A reimbursement claim of the providers of integration assistance, of social assistance, of social compensation, insofar as these render Special Benefits in the individual case, of soldiers' compensation under Chapter 5 of the Soldiers' Compensation Act, and of youth welfare assistance, bears interest, on application, at four per cent from other providers of benefits, 1. for the duration of the reimbursement period; and 2. for the period after the expiry of a calendar month from receipt, by the competent person liable to reimburse, of the complete reimbursement application covering the entire reimbursement period, up to the expiry of the calendar month before payment. Interest begins at the earliest after the expiry of six calendar months from receipt, by the competent provider of benefits, of the complete benefit application of the person entitled to benefits, or, where there is no application, after the expiry of a calendar month from notification of the decision on the benefit. Section 44(3) of the First Book applies; section 16 of the First Book does not apply.
