Claim of the provider of benefits whose duty to render benefits has subsequently lapsed

(1) Where a provider of benefits has rendered social benefits, and the claim to these has subsequently lapsed in whole or in part, the provider of benefits competent for the corresponding benefit is liable to reimburse, insofar as it has not already itself rendered the benefit before obtaining knowledge of the benefit of the other provider of benefits.
(2) The extent of the reimbursement claim is governed by the legal provisions applicable to the competent provider of benefits.
(3) Subsections (1) and (2) apply as against the providers of integration assistance, of social assistance, of social compensation, insofar as these render Special Benefits in the individual case, of soldiers' compensation under Chapter 5 of the Soldiers' Compensation Act, and of youth welfare assistance, only from the point in time from which it was known to them that the conditions for their duty to render benefits were met.
