(1) Every authority renders assistance to authorities of other Member States of the European Union on request, insofar as this is required under legal acts of the European Community.
(2) Authorities of other Member States of the European Union may be requested for assistance insofar as this is permitted under legal acts of the European Community. Assistance must be requested insofar as this is required under legal acts of the European Community.
(3) Sections 5, 7 and 8(2) apply correspondingly, insofar as legal acts of the European Community do not preclude this.
