In applying the instrument for the participation of holders of relevant capital instruments and the creditor participation instrument, the resolution authority may, in accordance with section 96(1) and (2) and section 97, take all necessary directions. The resolution authority may, in particular, 1. cancel or delete shares or other Common Equity Tier 1 instruments; 2. transfer shares or other Common Equity Tier 1 instruments to creditors; 3. write down the nominal value or the outstanding balance of relevant capital instruments of the institution or group entity; 4. write down the nominal value or the outstanding balance of eligible liabilities under section 65(4) and bail-inable liabilities of the institution or group entity; 5. convert relevant capital instruments into shares or other Common Equity Tier 1 instruments; 6. convert eligible liabilities under section 65(4) and bail-inable liabilities into shares or other Common Equity Tier 1 instruments; 7. reduce the capital of the institution or group entity; 8. increase the capital of the institution or group entity, including by excluding pre-emption rights and against contributions in kind.
