The supervisory authority must suspend its decision on an application for a licence from undertakings with their registered office outside the European Union, or from subsidiary undertakings of these undertakings, or restrict the licence, where a corresponding decision of the Council or the European Commission exists, adopted under Article 147 of Directive 2013/36/EU. The suspension or restriction may not exceed three months from the date of the decision. The first and second sentences also apply to licence applications submitted after the date of the decision. Where the Council decides to extend the period under the second sentence, the supervisory authority must observe this extension of the period and extend the suspension or restriction correspondingly.
