Section 8

Places endangering young persons

Where a child or young person is present in a place where an immediate danger to their physical, mental or emotional well-being threatens, the competent authority or body must take the measures necessary to avert the danger. Where necessary, it must 1. require the child or young person to leave the place, 2. bring the child or young person to the person with parental responsibility within the meaning of section 7(1) no. 6 of Book Eight of the Social Code, or, where no such person can be reached, place the child or young person in the care of the youth welfare office. In difficult cases, the competent authority or body must inform the youth welfare office of the place endangering young persons.
