Entry into force, expiry

(1) This Act enters into force on the day on which the Interstate Treaty of the Länder on the Protection of Human Dignity and the Protection of Minors in Broadcasting and Telemedia enters into force. At the same time, the Act for the Protection of Young Persons in Public of 25 February 1985 (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 425), as last amended by Article 8a of the Act of 15 December 2001 (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 3762), and the Act on the Dissemination of Writings and Media Content Endangering Young Persons, in the version promulgated on 12 July 1985 (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 1502), as last amended by Article 8b of the Act of 15 December 2001 (Federal Law Gazette I, p. 3762), cease to have effect. The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth shall publish the date of this Act's entry into force in the Federal Law Gazette.
(2) By way of derogation from paragraph 1, first sentence, section 10(2) and section 28(1) no. 13 enter into force on 1 January 2007.
