Advisory board

The Federal Agency shall establish an advisory board that advises it in performing the tasks under section 17a(2), first sentence. The advisory board has up to twelve members who are particularly committed to realising the rights and protection of children and young persons. Three places are reserved for representatives of the interests of children and young persons. Two of these seats must be filled with persons who, at the time of their appointment, are no more than 17 years old and have been proposed by nationally active representatives of the interests of children and young persons. Members of the advisory board are appointed by the Federal Agency for a term of three years each. Further details are governed by rules of procedure.
