Examination of the schemes through stress tests

(1) Deposit guarantee schemes must examine their systems' functionality through stress tests at regular intervals, but at least every three years. The first test must be conducted by 3 July 2017 at the latest.
(2) Deposit guarantee schemes may use the information necessary for conducting stress tests of their systems only for that purpose. They must retain that information only for as long as necessary for that purpose.
(3) BaFin must be informed of the results of the examinations through stress tests. It passes those results on to the European Banking Authority.
