Part 2 · Federal Financial Supervisory Authority › Section 14a

Powers to enforce sanctions measures

(1) The Bundesanstalt may order, as against anyone, the measures necessary to enforce a trading prohibition in respect of financial instruments decided by a competent body of the European Union or by bodies of a Member State of the European Union. In particular it may prohibit trading in one or more financial instruments and order the suspension of trading in one or more financial instruments on markets on which financial instruments are traded. The Bundesanstalt may also issue orders under the first and second sentences against a public-law legal entity, against an exchange, or against its exchange operating company.
(2) Section 125(1), first sentence, applies correspondingly. The competence of the exchange supervisory authorities under section 3(1), first sentence of the Stock Exchange Act remains unaffected.
(3) An objection and an action for rescission against measures under subsection (1) have no suspensive effect.
