Section 27

Tasks of the central liaison office

(1) The central liaison office communicates to the European Commission and the other Member States of the European Union: 1. the market surveillance strategy transmitted by the Länder under section 20(2), and 2. the market surveillance authorities and their respective competences. For this purpose, it uses the information and communication system referred to in Article 34 of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020. The Länder communicate to the central liaison office the information required under the first sentence, no. 2.
(2) The central liaison office makes a summary of the market surveillance strategy available to the public.
(3) The central liaison office carries out, in coordination with the Federal ministries concerned, the tasks under Article 31(2)(a), (f), (g) and (m) of Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 with regard to the market surveillance of accessibility requirements for products under Directive (EU) 2019/882.
