Importer or distributor treated as manufacturer

Sections 6 and 7 apply accordingly to an importer or distributor where it 1. places a product on the market under its own name or trade mark, or 2. modifies a product already placed on the market in such a way that its conformity with the requirements of the statutory instrument to be issued under section 3(2) may be affected.
