The Federal Criminal Police Office receives, as the central office, information under Article 18(1) and (2) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, processes this information within the scope of its statutory tasks under the Federal Criminal Police Office Act, and forwards the information to the prosecuting authority responsible in each case. The Federal Government shall submit to the Bundestag annually, for the first time by 30 June 2025, a report on the nature and number of the criminal offences reported to the Federal Criminal Police Office under this provision.
