Prohibition of price determination for foreign currencies

The Federal Ministry of Finance may, in agreement with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and after consulting the Deutsche Bundesbank, issue individual instructions to an exchange temporarily prohibiting the determination of prices for foreign currencies, where a material market disturbance threatens that gives rise to expectations of serious dangers for the economy as a whole or for the public.
