Notification of the results of genetic examinations and analyses

(1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), the result of a genetic examination may be notified only to the person concerned, and only by the physician responsible or by the physician who provided the genetic counselling.
(2) A person or institution commissioned under section 7(2) with the genetic analysis may notify the result of the genetic analysis only to the physician who commissioned it with the genetic analysis.
(3) The physician responsible may notify the result of the genetic examination or analysis to others only with the express consent of the person concerned, given in writing or in electronic form.
(4) The result of the genetic examination must not be notified to the person concerned insofar as that person has decided, under section 8(1) sentence 1 in conjunction with sentence 2, that the result of the genetic examination is to be destroyed, or has withdrawn their consent under section 8(2).
