Whoever marks objects or their packaging with a designation suitable to create the impression that the objects are protected as a utility model under this Act, or who uses a designation of such a kind in public advertisements, on display signs, on recommendation cards or in similar announcements, is obliged to give information, on request, to anyone with a legitimate interest in knowing the legal position, as to which utility model the use of the designation is based on.
