Transitional provision

Certification service providers that have issued qualified certificates within the meaning of section 2 number 3 of the Signature Act may continue to maintain those qualified certificates in their certificate register as qualified trust service providers for qualified certificates under Regulation (EU) No 910/2014. They may continue to offer all services agreed with their customers in this connection, in particular a revocation service. Section 16(1) applies accordingly. Certificates issued by the Bundesnetzagentur under section 16(1) of the Signature Act are blocked with effect from the end of 14 November 2018.
