Section 9b

Electronic securities in collective entry

(1) For electronically issued securities that are entered in the form of a collective entry in an electronic securities register and are credited by the custodian to a custody account of the depositor, the provisions of this Act on collective safe custody and shares of a collective holding apply mutatis mutandis, insofar as paragraph 2 does not provide otherwise. The custodian may credit shares of the electronic security in collective entry to the custody accounts it maintains only up to the amount of the collective entry made out in its name.
(2) Where delivery of individual securities is demanded under sections 7 and 8, the custodian must have the collective entry in the securities register converted, at the depositor's expense, into an individual entry corresponding to the share attributable to the depositor, unless otherwise provided in the terms of issue.
