False statements as to ownership

Whoever, for the benefit of themselves or another, makes a declaration under section 4(2) that is untrue, or fails to give a notification incumbent on that person under section 4(3), is, where the act is not subject to a more severe penalty under other provisions, liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine.
