Supranational and international functions of the Federal Statistical Office

At supranational and international level, the function of the Federal Statistical Office is, in particular, to participate in preparing statistical programmes and legal provisions, in the methodological and technical preparation and harmonisation of statistics, and in compiling national accounts and other comprehensive systems of statistical data for the purposes of the European Union and international organisations, and to forward the results to the European Union and international organisations.
