(1) The Federal Ministry of Finance shall, at intervals of no more than six months, inform a body of the German Bundestag of the performance of the tasks of the Financial Intelligence Unit under section 28(1) and (1a).
(2) The German Bundestag shall determine the number of members, the composition, and the working procedures of the body. The Federal Ministry of Finance and the Financial Intelligence Unit shall be permanently represented. The body shall decide, as the occasion requires, on the involvement of further bodies, insofar as their statutory responsibilities are affected.
(3) The members of the body are obliged to maintain confidentiality as to all matters that have come to their knowledge in the course of their activity. This also applies to the representatives of the further bodies involved.
