(1) The Federation and the Länder shall provide, for users within the portal network, a general, subject-independent advisory service, designed to be low in barriers, for the handling of their electronic administrative services offered via administrative portals, and shall designate public bodies for this purpose. These public bodies shall support users in handling administrative services within the portal network.
(2) The bodies involved may process the personal data transmitted by the data subject that is necessary for performing the task under subsection (1). Insofar as this requires the processing of special categories of personal data within the meaning of Article 9(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (OJ L 119, 4.5.2016, p. 1; L 314, 22.11.2016, p. 72; L 127, 23.5.2018, p. 2; L 74, 4.3.2021, p. 35), the bodies involved may process it at the instigation of the user. Section 22(2) of the Federal Data Protection Act applies accordingly.
